Reports to:                  Rig Maintenance Supervisor

Location:                     Offshore, Nova Scotia

Unit:                           Noble Regina Allen, Jack Up


Responsible for maintenance and repair of MODU electronic control and support systems, electronic components and component interface systems. Monitors all rig electronic systems operation and troubleshoots and repairs as necessary for operations.  Provide technical support for electronic systems to ensure achievement of rig efficiency and client objectives.  Provide specific focus on systems that will keep maintenance operations running effectively and avoid down time. Implement and uphold safety and environmental compliance requirements. Assist the Rig Maintenance Supervisor with effective maintenance procedures and ensure that the Noble Maintenance System is effectively utilized.  Assist the Electrician and Subsea Engineer as directed by the Rig Maintenance Supervisor to support on-going operations.


  • Formal Electronic Training Certificate or Degree is required.
  • Working knowledge of HSE practices common to the industry.
  • Minimum 2 years industrial electronics experience. 
  • Must have good understanding of test equipment usage in regards to troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Has experience with PLC’s, VFD drives, automation
  • Basic Survival Training (BST)
  • H2S Alive

  • Confined Space Entry
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Regulatory Awareness
  • Hazardous Area EX Training
  • CAPP Medical
  • Able to operate software applications as applicable to position
  • Must pass Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.



  • Install, maintain and repair all electronic equipment onboard the rig.
  • Complete understanding and use of the Noble’s Maintenance System.
  • Ensure that incomplete repairs and projects are finished within their scheduled time of   completion in order to keep a backlog of work to a minimum.
  • Ensure that equipment failure is kept to a minimum and within contractual limits.
  • Ensure replacement parts are kept to an optimum level.
  • Maintain good two-way communication with crew members.
  • Ensure planned maintenance is accurately completed.
  • Ensure that entries on permits, isolation tags and logs accurately reflect the current status of equipment.
  • Participate in the development of newly appointed team members.
  • Other duties as required
