JOB SUMMARY

The Electrician Asst. is considered to be an entry level position within the Electrical Maintenance group. This role provides technical support for electrical systems to ensure achievement of rig efficiency and client objectives. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be Canadian or have a work permit / visa to work in Canada
  • Interprovincial Electrician Journeyman Certificate is preferred
  • Basic Survival Training (BST)
  • H2S Alive
  • Emergency First Aid
  • Fall Protection
  • Confined Space Entry
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Regulatory Awareness
  • CAPP Medical
  • Able to operate software applications as applicable to position
  • Must pass Drug Screen and Background/Pre-Employment Screening Checks.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work as directed by senior electrical staff to support:
  • Ensuring that maintenance schedules are completed within their time scale, reducing backlog.
  • Keeping rig downtime due to equipment failure to a minimum.
  • Ensuring the preventative maintenance system is being carried out as per equipment maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure Noble personnel and subcontractors are aware and use the Permit to Work system in place on the unit.
  • Participate actively in Safety Meetings, contribute with relevant points.
  • Personnel are managed strictly in accordance with Noble policies and procedures.
  • Report all defects and unsafe conditions to Supervisor as soon as possible.
  • Actively participate in Noble approved and recommended training, both on and offshore.
  • Ensure all reports (Noble’s, Client’s, etc.) are completed in a timely manner and are accurate and legible.
  • Confirm that hand-over logs have relevant information for the safe an efficient running of the operations.
  • Maintenance records are accurately reports and filed.
  • Entries on Permits, isolation tags and unit logbooks accurately reflect status of equipment.
  • Other duties as required
