Note: As a pre-requisite to the Fall Protection Recertification course; a copy of a valid 2 Day WorkPlaceNL (previously WHSCC) Fall Protection certificate is required.  Please ensure that you have a copy of your valid 2 Day WorkPllaceNL Fall Protection certificate when attending this training.

Practical Component

The practical component of the Fall Protection Recertification course includes the completion of a fall protection plan (risk assesment), donning and usage of a variety of Fall Protection equipment and components. The participant will perform a lifelike scenario to demonstrate the basic principles of fall protection.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Requirements

Please note, participants will be responsible for supplying the following PPE to participate in the practical exercises for the majority of the course:

  • CSA approved Hard Hat
  • CSA approved eye protection
  • CSA approved safety boots
  • Gloves

Course Format

The Fall Protection Recertification course format includes, four hours of classroom instruction with the visual aid of a power point presentation. The course also consists of four hours of individualized practical training which consists of demonstration and individual hands on practice. Participants will also complete a written evaluation.
